Bangor Cathedral Visitation Report

In October 2024, in response to concerns which had been brought to his attention, the Archbishop of Wales, The Most Revd Andrew John, commissioned a visitation of Bangor Cathedral and a review by Thirtyone:eight, an external body that specialises in safeguarding advice in church settings. The reporting process is now complete and the following summary reports have now been released publicly, and can be accessed below. We are grateful to all who contributed to this careful and prayerful process. The reports give details of the next steps which will now be taken.

‘Put no limits on compassion’, say bishops as they oppose assisted dying Bill

As the Assisted Dying Bill reaches a crucial stage in the House of Commons, the Bench of Bishops of the Church in Wales have reaffirmed their opposition to the measure and have republished their statement calling for no limits to be put upon compassion.

Prayer and Pizza at St Mary’s Priory, Abergavenny

A joyful celebration of hospitality, creativity, and connection came to St Mary’s Priory Church, Abergavenny, on the weekend of the 20th – 21st September when the first annual Welsh Pizza Festival took place in the grounds of one of Wales’s most welcoming sacred spaces.
