Wellbeing Day at St Asaph Cathedral

Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week (11-17 May) the diocese of St Asaph held a wellbeing day in St Asaph Cathedral.
A variety of workshops were on offer encouraging people to slow down and appreciate the ancient and sacred surroundings of the Cathedral. These included journaling for wellbeing, yoga, an introduction to homeopathy, eating healthily, and drumming, amongst others. The day ended with a Sound Bath with meditation and prayer.
Parish nurse, Margaret Mort, was in attendance doing hand massages for participants whilst allowing time to ask questions about their health and wellbeing.
Sarah Wheat, the diocesan Engagement Officer, who helped to organise the event, said: “The diocese wanted to host something which was low-cost and would encourage people into the Cathedral. Participants loved the day and asked when the next one would be!”
