New contemplative walking group launches on the Llŷn Peninsula
A new series of guided walks is being launched on Pen Llŷn for people interested in walking, reflection and prayer.
Organised by Bro Madryn Ministry Area, Ramble and Reflect offers an opportunity to explore contemplative walking along sections of the North Wales Pilgrimage Route, combining time outdoors with gentle reflection and conversation. The walks are inspired by Worship in the Wild developed in Bro Celynnin Ministry Area.
Each event will last around two to three hours and cover approximately three miles. Routes include coastal and countryside scenery, with some uphill sections. The programme includes journeys from Llangwnnadl to Porth Iago on 2 August, around Nefyn on 15 August, and from Mount Pleasant to Trefor on 19 September.
The walks are open to anyone looking to enjoy the landscape of Pen Llŷn while taking time for reflection, prayer and spiritual refreshment.
Revd Eryl Parry, Pioneer Priest in the Diocese of Bangor, said: “Many people are looking for ways to be active while also creating space for reflection and spirituality. Pilgrimage and contemplative walking offer a natural way to do both.”
