From ‘cheeky pandas’ to a prayer adventure map, this year’s resources for the Thy Kingdom Come campaign are designed to refresh, encourage and inspire worshipping communities who may have struggled with the idea of ‘church at home’ during the pandemic.Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus. It has been supported by the Church in Wales since the initiative began six years ago.The key features this year are:The Cheeky Pandas (11 part series & accompanying resources)- for children aged three and over11 video Youth reflections produced in partnership with the Archbishop of York’s Youth Trust and an Escape RoomThe Prayer Journal, written by Archbishop Stephen Cottrell The Novena – Praying the Psalms from Ascension to Pentecost (a large print version is also available)There’s lots more to explore on the website where you can find out how you and your church can join in, as well as sign up for some free resources. The Bishop of Bangor, Andy John, who is the lead bishop for evangelism, says, “This past year has been challenging for all of us and so this global movement of prayer is more needed than ever. Whether we are together physically or digitally, it is a great opportunity to invite people to pray, to engage with people perhaps new to worship this year and perhaps to team up with other local churches or chapels for joint services or events.I hope you will explore the website, use the great resources and help bring the power of prayer to the lives of those around you.”Find out what’s on offer at the Thy Kingdom Come websiteOrder resourcesShare your events on social media with @ChurchinWales
