The Archbishop of Wales thanks those helping to ease the burden of others during the coronavirus pandemic in his latest film message. As the nation prepares to applaud key workers tonight in the Clap For Our Carers campaign, Archbishop John Davies also urges people to continue to be courageous, hopeful and loving to each other. He says, “So many people are doing so much to try and help others who are in need at this particular time. People across the nation are making sacrifices of one sort or another. They are stepping up to the plate in many different ways to try and ensure that those who are in need, those who are in a sense of trouble, whether in mind, body or spirit, are being helped.“If you are playing a part in helping to ease the burden of others, I want to thank-you.”Archbishop John hopes we will emerge from the crisis as a more caring and united society.“There is so much goodness being seen, so much kindness being experienced, so much generosity being felt, so much compassion demonstrated, that we need to hang onto these things for our future together.“So be courageous, be hopeful, be loving and when it’s all over be sure to carry on in the same way.”
