Information

The history of Christianity within Pentyrch dates back to the years of Catwg (often called Cadoc or Cadog) in the early years of the 6th century. Catwg was then Abbot of the monastery at Llancarfan, and he or one of his followers set up a cell in Pentyrch. Consecrated in 1857, St Catwg’s Church is a Grade II Listed Building.
