New deacons and priests to be ordained across Wales this weekend

Hundreds of people will pack into cathedrals across Wales this weekend to welcome new priests and deacons in a series of ordination services.
A former animal rescuer, an ex-headteacher, a retired prison governor and a reality tv contestant are among 35 people who will begin new lives serving in the Church in Wales after several years of training. They will be ordained by their bishop in front of their families, friends, colleagues and community members in joyful services which are open to all.
Of the 35 candidates, 15 will be ordained as deacons and 20 as priests.
The Archbishop of Wales, Andrew John, says, “Today we rejoice in the calling and licensing of those being ordained. It is a moment of deep joy for the Church in Wales to welcome new priests and deacons. In each of you, we witness Christ at work — guiding, inspiring and equipping you for service. We pray that your ministries will be fruitful, joyful and filled with grace and we pray for you and your families. Thank you for the gifts you bring to our churches and communities.”
The ordinands are named below, with details of where they will serve.
