Community Award for Tregynon Church Community Garden

A community garden, developed on a piece of glebe land in the village of Tregynon in Powys, has been awarded a community management award.
Parson’s Field/Maes y Parson Community Garden, across the road from St Gynon’s Church, received the award from Social Farms and Gardens last month. A plaque and map of all the award winning gardens in Powys was presented to members of the management committee and volunteers, and will be proudly displayed in the garden.
Social Farms and Gardens is a national charity with a mission to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, communities and the environment through nature-based activities. Parson’s Field/Maes y Parson Community Garden has been awarded grant funding which has helped develop the garden over the last couple of years.
You can find out more about the garden in this film, shown at the Diocesan Conference in 2025.
