Location: Home based though successful candidates will also be welcome to work from the head office at 2 Callaghan Square, Cardiff, CF10 5BT.

Reporting to: Head of Building Surveying
Hours of Work: Full Time (34.75 hrs/pw)
Job Purpose
The Property Services Department, in supporting the mission of the church, is responsible for providing wide ranging property related service and advice for the Representative Body and Dioceses through the development and maintenance of an effective property management strategy.
The Compliance and Scheduling Coordinators are responsible, as required by the Head of Building Surveying, for compiling and organising regular routine servicing of the managed property portfolio, and assisting the Building Surveying Team by arranging minor repairs through approved contractors, to ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements. Their specialist knowledge and experience also enable them to support the team with training and advice, and to assist the Head of Building Surveying develop robust policies which safeguard the team, organisation, and wider stakeholders.
Essential
- Experience of property management and associated legal frameworks.
- Up to date knowledge of property management legislation and best practice.
- Excellent organisational skills but with the flexibility necessary to respond to urgent situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- An understanding of the importance of proportional risk management.
- An empathy with the mission and ministry of the Church in Wales.
- Excellent record keeping.
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
Desirable
- Experience and understanding of the organisational structure and purpose of the Church in Wales.
- Demonstrable experience of working through democratically organised procedures e.g. committee and board systems.
- Experience of working for the charitable, public, or educational sectors.
- Experience of using SharePoint as a file repository system.
- Welsh language skills/the ability to communicate in Welsh.
