People are invited to join a prayer vigil for the Nato summit in Newport Cathedral tonight.
Prayers will be held at St Woolos from 8pm to midnight with each hour led by ministers from different denominations with silent prayer and activities in between. People are welcome to drop in when they can and stay as long as they are able.
On Thursday and Friday, the days of the summit, prayers at the Cathedal will be held at 9-10am. They will be specific prayers for each day’s discussions and decisions, to be positive in view of the tensions facing Nato countries.
Following the summit, on Friday 12th September, there will be a Night of Prayer, at St. Paul’s House 6pm- midnight while on Saturday 13th September, there will be a Communion Service, on the steps of at St.Paul’s from 12 noon-1pm.
