The Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity
Prayer for the week
Our world is fractured and divided by differences of belief, opinion, custom, and allegiance.
Open our hearts to be reconciled to one another in love; but may we not, for the sake of our own ease, be reconciled to what wrong or uncharitable; but work in your strength for the good of all.
For the sake of Jesus, whose costly work of reconciliation brings us close to you: Amen.
Canon Carol Wardman
Collect for the week
who called your Church to bear witness
that you were in Christ reconciling the world to yourself:
help us to proclaim the good news of your love,
that all who hear it may be drawn to you;
through him who was lifted up on the cross,
and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
