Prayer for the week

Creator and Redeemer God:

Through the Resurrection of Jesus,
you summon us to a new way of living.
As we look to the future,
inspire us with faith and courage,
to work and pray that our lives will be rebuilt on the foundations of love for one another,
a fairer sharing of resources,
and care for the world around us.

Canon Carol Wardman

Collect for the week

God our redeemer,
you have delivered us from the power of darkness
and brought us into the kingdom of your Son:
grant, that as by his death he has recalled us to life,
so by his continual presence in us
he may raise us to eternal joy;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
