Holy Communion

Prayer for the week

God of Love and Power:

Through the Resurrection of Jesus, you brought together the Heaven and Earth you created;
and through the gift of your Holy Spirit, you charge us with caring for the world and all that is in it. May we learn to put right what our pride and carelessness have marred,
and not to exalt in our own strength;
but in humility may we seek your wisdom, forgiveness and mercy.

Amen.

Canon Carol Wardman

Collect for the week

O God the King of glory,
you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ
with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven:
we beseech you, leave us not comfortless,
but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us
and exalt us to the place where our Saviour Christ is gone before,
who is alive and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
