Merthyrmawr Road – Works

The next phase of the regeneration of the Nolton end of town is about to begin. Some time after Monday 20th February the west end (ie near the dual carriageway) of Merthyrmawr Road will be opened up, as it was last year, and the east end sealed off. At this stage we do not know the precise timetable for the works, or when access to the Rectory and Hall will be closed, so be prepared for surprises! Pedestrian access to the church will be maintained throughout the period of the works.

Charities for February

Our additional charity support this month will go to the Church Army and the Gideons. Gift Aid envelopes are available in all churches. Thank you for your generosity.

Christian Aid Quiz

The annual inter-church quiz will take place in Nolton Hall on Thursday 16th Feb at 7pm. £3 per participant – refreshments, raffle and prizes! All are welcome.

Celebrate Pancake Day with us at 7pm in Coity Hall! Tickets are available in each of the Churches. If you would like to attend please take one of the tickets from church and print your name on the list, but please do not take a ticket if you are not certain that you can attend.

Annual Report – Material Required

It’s that time of year when we put out the call for reports from parish organisations for our Annual Vestry Meeting Report. (This year’s AVM will be held on Sunday 22nd April, following a 10am Parish Service at Nolton.) These should be passed on to the Rector, or through the Office.

Also required soon are the 2011 accounts for the various fund-holding bodies in the parish. These should be sent to Dave Sullivan (dave.sullivan@cnb-parish.org.uk), or they can also be passed through the Office.

Condolences

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mary Row (Coity) at this time, following the death of her brother John Coombs at the end of January. May he rest in peace.

Foodbank: Wanted

On the wish-list this month: UHT milk, orange juice, biscuits, cereal, rice pudding, custard, small coffee, small sugar. Goods can be left in the Parish Office, at the Chapel in the hospital, or at the FoodBank direct.
