| Built for the slate miners in 1842 by a £2000 donation from Mrs Oakley. Following two renovations, the last in 1995, the interior is more or less original. A beautiful stained glass window called 'The Quarrymen's Window' was dedicated in 1942. |

| A site of worship in this village can be traced back to 717AD. This church was originally built between 1843 and 1845 but was closed in the mid 1990's after falling into disrepair. After a lot of effort and hard work by the community, in raising many thousands of pounds, the building was re-dedicated in 1995. |
