Message: Baptized in Bangor Cathedral last August, I always feel so close to the people and the church ministry members. Although I've been geographically so far away (I'm now back in East China), I do care very much for the well-being of my Church, my friends, and all people of the diocese. I mourned for our lose of an excellent pastoral leader and a friend of tremendous courage and faith. We Chinese would say that though he has left us, his words still ring in our ears, his demeanor and his name shall endure for long. His example has been, and will continue to be, an inspiration for me, and I'd be true to Bishop Anthony's vision, and continue my spiritual pilgrimage. I'd pray for his widow Caroline, the children and family. I'd pray for the diocese and the unity into which he has so ably led us. I'd pray for more enthusiasm and endeavor from people of vision, energy and wisdom, just like him, to contribute to God's cause on the earth.
My deepest condolences to his family. 愿 他 在 天 之 灵 安 息。May he rest in peace.

Message: In appreciation of a devoted and dedicated priest who had the ability to share people's joys and offer such compassion in tribulation.
His zeal and charisma for life and his interpretation of the Gospel inspired so many in their Christian vocation. A true friend and an excellent and supportive colleague.
May God be with his family in their grief and parting and support the Diocesan family as their Bishop is called to his rest.
May he rest in peace.

Message: It is with great sadness that we in the diocese of Dublin have heard of the death of Bishop Anthony. Our own diocese has many close links with Bangor. Personally I worked with Tony for many years on the Porvoo Contact Group - a man of great humor, real commitment and deep spirituality. Tony always felt deeply for those in any trouble and his caring was always full of godly passion. I always valued our times together. To his beloved wife, and the diocese which he served so faithfully these last few years, I extend my deepest sympathy and indeed that of my wife, who also knew Tony. May he rest in the peace of Christ.

Message: I very much appreciated Bp Anthony's public support when he came and saw off a group of people from north Wales going to protest at Faslane against the renewal of Trident, also his commitment to (re)building the war-torn Diocese of Lango in northern Uganda, a commitment which was hands-on in that he went there himself.
May God give strength to his family and rest his soul in peace.

Message: I have known Bishop Anthony for man years.I will remember him as an honest and forthright person who was faithful priest and Bishop. The people of the Rectorial Benefuice of Whitchurch will have particular memoreis of him as their curate and some of my present parishioners were heplde by his ministry. He enjoyed discerning the truth in any argument and supported the rights of individuals. His ostgraduate studies gave him particlular knowledge and insights in norality and was a fearce supporter of those margiunalised in society. Sqdly his illness preckuded him from makign a contribution to the Provinical Covenant Group of which I was a member. My prayers go not ony for the repose of a faithful pastor but for his wife Caroline, his friends and the diocese of Bangor who will miss his distinctive ministry

Message: I have known Tony for many years since being in the same deanery in West Wales. HE was always forthright and honest in his views, never minded people arguing with him, and bore no malice once a debate was over. I considered him a friend and valued his cheery welcome and enquiry about the family. All sympathy to the family, and I am so sorry not to be able to join you for the funeral because I have to lead one in the parish. Tony's courage was an inspiration to us all.

Message: I came to know +Anthony three years ago at the beginning of the second year of my undergraduate degree. My first impressions where he was a Bishop and priest unlike any I had come to know before. +Anthony had the gift to empower and listen as well as lead and inspire those around him while still having an unforgettable sense of humour.
After working for him for a couple of years I became an Ordinand of the Bangor Diocese. Currently I am in training in St Michael's college. In my future ministry I hope to hold with me the example of +Anthony and the many pieces of advice he gift me.
At this time my prayers and deepest sympathy are with Caroline and all who mourn him.

Message: Bishop Crockett was the Rector of Dowlais Parish Churches in the late 1980's. He was always a very welcome visitor to our house as he brought my parents communion. At the time of my father's death, he provided tremendous emotional support to my mother and myself. I am truly grieved that his life should be cut short when he had so much to offer and my deepest sympathies extend to his wife and family.

Message: I have very fond and happy memories of Anthony. As organist at the church I always looked forward to his inspirational and thoughtful sermons.
In a world of cynicism and empty gestures Anthony stood out as an individual of integrity and true christian fellowship.
His loss is tragic.
To his family I would like to extend my deepest sympathy. Wales is a poorer place without Anthony

Message: It was a pleasure to have known and worked with Bishop Anthony on numerous occasions during my undergraduate years at Bangor. We shared a few things in common, we were both born in Pontypridd, and he began his episcopal ministry in Bangor only a week before I began my Academic Studies at the University - similar new beginnings for us both. My deepest sympathy to Caroline and +Anthony's family, also his friends and the clergy and people of the Bangor Diocese are very much in my prayers at this very sad time.

Message: Bishop Anthony will be greatly missed. He was very popular in our parish and helped us out at a Midnight Mass for many years. Also I was delighted when he became parton of our organ appeal and came to preach at the service to bless the new organ. Such was his dedication and love for God's people that he did a confirmation in the morning in Betws Y Coed and drove straight down to preach at our church with half an hour to spare in the evening. He will be sadly missed. Our thought are with Caroline and his family at the time.
