A very very special man who is so sadly missed. He was 'all things to all men'. A gentle giant, with a wonderful sense of humour, who could empathise with all walks of life. God bless.

As Christian Stewardship Advisor in the Diocese of Monmouth and also Secretary of the Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches, I knew Fr Jeremy well. He did a great deal for St Mary's Abergavenny (both for the people and the building). His spiritual and musical gifts and his natural friendliness would have enhanced the life of St Woolos Cathedral. He will be greatly missed.

Father Jeremy,as he was affectionately known, was a special man and an inspirational priest. The response to his passing is a testimony to the love and affection people had for him. He will be sadly missed by us all. It was privilege to have known him.We attended both St Mabli's and St Mary's before moving to New Zealand.

It was such a shock to hear of Jeremy's untimely death. Over the last 30 or so years our lives have occasinally crossed and I knew him better when we were both young priests. We were almost exact contemporaries. He was great to be with. His seriousness of purpose, always tinged with generous humour, was genuinely endearing. he will be greatly missed and is a sad loss to the Diocese of monmouth and the Church in Wales.
Mary Price - 01/12/2011

Having known both Jeremy and his mother for many years I was completely gutted to hear about his death. He was such a funny vibrant character who put you so much at ease. As many have said he was larger than life, and although I was not a member of his parrish he ALWAYS made time to speak to me, no matter how busy he may have been. They certainly broke the mould with you, Jeremy as there will NEVER be anyone who can step into your shoes. You were the nicest, kindest and funniest man I have EVER had the priviledge to meet. Sleep tight, and rest in peace x

May God Bless you Jeremy and keep you safe in his tender care. I have many happy childhood memories of Sebastopol and Griffithtown, where I would visit my mums family- Jeremy was my cousin, he was well known for his love of music, cookery skills and love of the lord. He was always a kind and caring human being , his death was untimely, but God had a purpose for his life and his impact on the lives he touched will live on. God Bless you Jeremy.

If anyone could embody the qualities of our Saviour it was this man. Father Jeremy was inspirational and led with vision and commitment. He was also the most gentle, thoughtful, loving and sensitive of men. The world is a dark place without him.
Fr Geoffrey Howell - 26/11/2011
Monkton RB (St. Davids)
Fr Jeremy's quiet but assured holiness will be much missed, at Newport Cathedral, Abergavenny and in all the churches where he ministered. Throughout my time at St. Woolos, we always appreciated his participatation in worship, whenever he came: his clear, humorous teaching of the Christian faith in his preaching, his elegant, unfussy expression of the liturgy, and the assured musicality he gave to worship. His legacy as a priest will be long-lasting, though he has gone. Rest in peace.

Jeremy was an inspiration. A true example of christian love. It did not matter who you were or what you did he had the gift of making you feel special. He will be missed by so many for jis wit, charm and above all genuine concern. A light may have gone out on earth but the heavenly choirs will be blessed by his presence. We grew up together, sang in the same church choir (my father was the organist) and attended the same grammar school. A giant amongst men, both literally and methaphorically, whose untimely death robs the C in W of one of its' most able sons.
Rest in peace, dear friend; God knows, you have earned it.

Fr Jeremy was a true friend and brother. His care of his friends was something which he regarded as a privilege - we were Trustees of the John Jones Trust together, as well as Trustees of the ACS, which he chaired for 5 years very ably. Fr Jeremy was in my mind the best bishop the C in W never had, Rest in Peace dear Father, and thankyou for your love and friendship.

I was lucky enough to be a teenager in Bassaleg Parish when Jeremy was a curate. He always made time to get to know the young people of the Parish and helped us to make sense of the world. I have so many fond memories of Jeremy with his great love of music and all things beautiful. He was our tour guide in Oxford, he was the charming host at the first dinner party we went to. Perhaps best of all, he was prepared to get muddy and cold so that we could enjoy a weeks holiday on a canal boat - I can see him now taking a service on board next to a row of wellies!
So sad and shocked to hear of his passing.

Father Jeremy brought his spirit and enthusiasm to our village, St. Arvans, when I was a child.I have many fond memories, as I'm sure will many young and old. I was saddened by the news, but have smiled also today, remembering back to my confirmation classes, youth group, and the day he was introduced to the parish when he arrived 'larger than life'. All those who were lucky enough to have met him, will never forget him.
