Lecture by Dr James Carleton-Paget (Cambridge University)
Dr James Carleton-Paget (Cambridge University) and The Reverend Nigel John (Anglican Chaplain at Swansea University) who chaired the lecture.
Swansea University's Theology Public Lecture Programme
for the new academic year got underway on Tuesday, 30th September with
the visit of the New Testament Scholar, Dr James Carleton-Paget, who
is a Senior Lecturer at Cambridge University and a Fellow and Tutor
of Peterhouse, Cambridge. He spoke on the subject of the historical
Jesus.
Such was the interest in the event that the venue had to be changed
at the very last minute and the event switched to an alternative lecture
theatre nearby on campus containing a bigger seating capacity. An estimated
220 people took the opportunity to hear this distinguished biblical
scholar speak on such a hugely important topic.
