INTO ORBIT

The Cathedral recently hosted a Diocesan Family Day. Over two hundred people from all over the Diocese came together to the day, the theme of which was into Orbit. There were a number of activities including a bouncy castle and parachute games in the nave, badge making, face painting and tours of the tower. The Dean was up and down about eight times, which was good training for his upcoming sponsored Bike ride to Paris.

The worship was launched by two fountains of sparks and was led by “The Two Tims” (Fr. Tim Williams, Vicar of Killay and The Rev’d Tim Williams, Vicar of Llanfaes). The day ended with a blessing from the Bishop and more fireworks courtesy of the two Tims.

The day was organised by our Children’s officer, The Rev’d Ben Griffith who commented that it was good to see so many people there on this his first big event as Children’s officer.
