Autumn Sunet at Llangors        Mynydd Troed

There are 24 Churches located along the course of the beautiful River Wye in parishes either side of the A470/A438. Most are in locations giving spectacular views across the countryside.

The tours start from the main car park in Hay-on-Wye.

When planning your route, allow plenty of time. Many Churches are reached by country lanes giving good reasons to stop and look at views, buildings and wildlife (especially birds). Try to approach or leave the area via the Gospel Pass road. It takes you to Capel-y-ffin (No. 5) and offers the most glorious views in all directions, running across wild country between Hay-on-Wye and Llanfihangel Crucorney, approximately five miles North East of Abergavenny, on the A465 to Hereford.

There are 3 tours which can be made by car:-

Pews & Views is produced by the Hay Deanery, Diocese of Swansea & Brecon for general use.
