Llanywern Parish
Built in the 14th century and hardly touched in the 19th century restorations so common in this area apart from the windows. It still has flag stone floors and the medieval roofs and was lit until recently by oil lamps. The churchyard was, and still is a bog, hence the name! The registers date from 1653, further details of them are are on the Genuki site.
