St. David's church Llandewi Fach is almost hidden in a fold of the hills and is accessible only on foot. It was entirely rebuilt in 1860 and re-roofed and redecorated in 1963. The small belfry has two bells, neither ancient. The porch step is formed from the tombstone of Lewis Griffith, who died in 1691.
Inside
the tiny nave around the font are two 17th century benches and in the north
wall a domestic type fireplace. The harmonium came from Bryngwyn church. The
chancel and communion rails are dated 1712 and there is a chalice of 1624 owned
by the church, although not kept here for security. It is inscribed. 'THIS IS
THE COMMON CUPP OF THE PARISH OF GLANDUE VATH' . The registers go back to 1754,

Kilvert's diary of 29th
March 1872, records that the vicar, Rev Thomas Williams, used to hold a little
school at the church every Sunday before the service.
