Outreach in 2012

An Outreach Committee functions as a subcommittee of the Parochial Church Council

Mission in Partnership
St.Mary’s participates fully in the ecumenical fellowship enjoyed by all the churches in Builth Wells under the auspices of Cytun (churches together). Shared services are held on the first Sundays in May and September and on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. On the Wednesday evenings in Lent services with a guest speaker are held in each of the churches in Builth Wells in turn. In Christian Aid Week the churches co-operate in a house-to-house collection

St.Mary’s Church Hall
The Hall is conveniently placed in the centre of the town within walking district of most residential areas. The Church supports the activities of senior citizens and other community based groups by offering non-profit rates of hire

Schools
Relations between St.Mary’s and local schools is nurtured through visits to the church, including explanatory tours, upon request to the Vicar. The Primary School regularly holds its Harvest and Christmas services in Church.
