The Director of Ministry is Rev Canon Keith Smalldon who covers the following areas of operation.

‘Sometimes known as the Warden of Ordinands, the ‘DDO’ is responsible for those who are at various points on their ministry journey. Anyone who is interested in exploring his or her vocation to the ministry is asked to contact Keith.

Initial Continuing Ministerial Education

this is a training programme offered both on a Diocesan and a provincial basis. It covers clergy from the time of their ordination until their first post of responsibility. This part of the clergy career used to be known as Post Ordination Training 'POT' or 'Potty Training' for short!

Continuing Ministerial Education

Clergy should never cease their learning and the CME Adviser co-ordinates this for the Diocese whether it be formal training with outside agencies of courses offered internally to meet a particular local need. Grants are available to assist clergy with their training needs and anyone wishing to access this funding is asked to contact Keith.

The CME Adviser also plans and operates the 4-day residential Clergy School the next one of which is scheduled for 6-9 July 2009 at the University of Warwick.

Warden of Non-Stipendiary Ministers
