Some property is owned by the Representative Body but held in trust for the benefit of a parish. This means the Representative Body holds the title of the property so it does not have to be changed every time the PCC changes. In these cases, the management of the property will be the responsibility of the Parish itself, although any sales or lettings, should be done through the Representative Body.
Although the Representative Body may hold a property in trust for the benefit of a parish, it is still usually managed by that parish.
Parishes should ensure that any property they own is properly managed and maintained.
Information for parishes wishing to rent or sell their properties can be found here.
