Believing in Wales
The challenge facing devolved Wales is how to create a more confident, compassionate and caring nation, the Archbishop of Wales toldAssembly Members and other Welsh leaders at a unique event recently.
The Bishops of the Church in Wales hosted a reception at the Senedd, the home of the National Assembly for Wales, to promote partnership work for a better future and to celebrate “believing in Wales”.
The reception was sponsored by the Presiding Officer of the National Assembly, Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas. It was the first time for the Church in Wales to host such an event and about 170 guests attended. As well as AMs, representatives of organisations from the public, private and third sectors across Wales, most of whom already work in partnership initiatives with the Church, attended.
The Presiding Officer and each Bishop gave a short presentation to those gathered. These speaches can be seen in the video below.
