the parish website scheme: Adding and editing
File
You should be able to add a file of up to 2mb in size to any of the “optional” sections on your website. We’ve enabled this to allow people who want to add parish magazines or parish policy documents or minutes of meetings to their websites.
Just because you can add documents up to this size doesn't mean you should - aim for no document bigger than 1mb, which is equivalent to around 15 minutes download time on a dialup connection. You should be able to upload your documents in whatever format you choose (.doc, .pdf, .rtf and so on).
Your attention is called to the agreement you made in the Terms and Conditions not to upload anything not related to your Parish in this way – we want to keep this function open to people, but doing so will rely on people not using it for other purposes.
If you are likely to want to add a lot of documents over time (e.g. a parish magazine every week or month), then we would strongly suggest that you create a “Folder” for these to be kept in, so that the main sections of your site don’t become cluttered with lots of individual files.
To add a file, select “Add New? – File” from any section.

You’ll then see a form like the one below, where you fill in a title and description, and specify what file you want to upload. Select “Save” and your file will be added to your website. Remember that if the file is a large file, you may have to wait a while for it to upload.
