the parish website scheme
2. Filling out the form: Introduction
Whether you’ve followed the link to create a website after setting your password as above, or have returned to the scheme and logged in at a later date, you should see a form that looks like this:

What the system will try and provide for you
Before we go any further, we should say that the system will try to automatically fill in the following information for you:
- The Parish/Benefice/Rectorial Benefice name and the Diocese
- The name of one of the churches in the Parish/Benefice/Rectorial Benefice
- The OS map reference
- The contact details for the cleric in charge
What information you need:
In addition to these details, you will also need:
- A description of the Parish.
- This will be the first text anyone reads on your website, so it should be short and introductory – no more than a sentence or two.
- The form will ask you for details about one church – you can add details about other churches later. You will need:
- a short description of this church (one or two sentences)
- details of regular Sunday and weekly service times
You will not be able to continue without this information, so it’s best to make sure that you have it before you start.
When you're ready to start filling out the form, go ahead - use the menu on the left to find out more details about the sections in the form.
