Aim 4 - Pastoral Care
In five years time we will have facilitated an accessible network of care and support in order that God’s love is shown through practical action in the community
We have set up a planning and development group to identify:
local needs
§ ways to facilitate care
§ resources/training needs
§ existing projects/networks to link with
Our intention is, wherever possible, to form links with existing groups and facilities and to support work which is already being done.
Every baptism family will be visited after three months to see how they are doing and what we can do to help
By the end of 2008
The group will have identified needs and developed a strategy for meeting them. As a first step we have implemented a transport pool.
We will continue the pattern of baptismal after-care.
We will train and licence two Eucharist ministers for home communions
