The Day it Snowed

Well, the day before (Feb 2nd) the BBC forecast a "snow event" with snow sweeping from the east to Wales and even beyond! I went out to a Cytun "event" in the evening at St John LLoyd RC Church and it became more and more apparent the snow was here to stay. We finished the agenda in 15 minutes (the fastest meeting I have ever been to) and all headed back home to the hills. By bed time I arrived home the Vicarage drive looked quite pretty, but in the morning .......... well here's a picture of the Parish Church as I went to Morning Prayer on Feb 3rd:

After Morning Prayer  I headed off to Bishop Childs Church in Wales School for Tuesday Assembly. The Boss had said that I didn't have to come down but I told her that we were made tough in Pontypool. Indeed it was a pleasant walk down. At break time the children had a tremendous time and I do believe the staff enjoyed themselves just as much. Here's a picture of the Boss and me - looking after the children!
