Reflective Corner

A place of peace and quiet

In one of the of the re-ordered areas of the school children have created a quiet/reflective area where they can go when they feel the need. Below I enclose a compilation of the thoughts of three of the Y6 girls:

All three have told Bishop Dominic; Canon Denison (our Diocesan Director of Education) and me that the new area is part of the new meeting room; it is there for people to feel safe, cosy and to reflect. Amy's favourite part is the cosy chair; Holly says that it's "cosy and it feels safe and secure"; Erin's favourite part is the "soothing pictures and poems on the wall".

All three ladies describe the room as "relaxing, reflective and safe".

I think its wonderful that a Christian place of learning has a room where people can be quiet and feel close to God.
