Sundial
Sundial - dated 1720
As you come up the path from the metal gate you will have passed on your left, the old preaching cross. Further up the path you come to a stone step, this marks the foundations of an earlier larger church. The present building is the third church on this site. The first would have been a wooden building which was replaced by a large stone one. There are unfortunately no pictures of either of the previous churches, the sundial (dated 1720) on the south wall is the only other remnant of the earlier church.
