You will undoubtedly know by now that Gilbert died last Saturday evening after having received the  Last Rites of the Church. We are grateful for long and faithful ministry in this parish and there will be an opportunity to pay a fuller tribute at a later date. 

His body will be received into St David’s this afternoon at 16.00. This is a public service so anyone wishing to be in church will of course be welcome. His funeral will be at 10.30 tomorrow (Monday) in St David’s followed by cremation in Coychurch at 11.30. Wednesday morning Eucharist will be Requiem Eucharist in which we will give thanks for his life, his ministry and all that he meant to so many. Naturally this will be a public service and anyone who would like to join us for this will be very welcome. There are to be family flowers only but donations may be made if desired to the local Parkinson Society. If you are uncertain of the contact details we will gladly pass on any donation on your behalf.
