50 years of the Ladies' Circle in the parish was celebrated at a medieval banquet in Cardiff Castle.  Val Griffiths, the present leader spoke about the many achievments during the last 50 years and stated that many thousands of pounds have been raised for many good causes during this time.  She presented a gift to Mrs Val Forrest who was one of the original members when it was known as the Young Wives.

Everyone had a fabulous evening, plenty of good food and fine entertainment provided by the young "wenches"  and lads.  Even those "persuaded" to get up on the stage, as part of the entertainment, had a great time.
