A Festival of Re-dedication
Celebrating the re-ordering of All Saints Church
On 22nd January 2012 Most Revd Dr Barry Morgan, Archbishop of Wales, came to All Saints and led a service of joyous celebration of the re-ordering of the West end of our church.
The lessons were read by Peter Bussell whose involvement in the re-ordering project has been huge and Mel Griffin, the people's warden. Intercessions were read by the re-ordering team.
The Archbishop gave a sermon in which he praised the vision and commitment of all those involved in the project. Prayers were said that the enhanced facilities now offered within the church will contribute further to the mission of rth church as it strives to reach out into the community.
The service was attended by many dignitaries including Rt. Hon. Alun Michael M.P. and Mrs Michael, the Town Mayor and Mayoress Cllr. Anthony Ernest and Mrs Ernest along with other Penarth Town and Vale councillors.
The evening service at All Saints on the 22nd January was an United Service where members of different churches within Penarth Cytun came together to worship as part of the Week of Prayers for Christian Unity. The large congregation ewre treated to an address by the Archdeacon of Llandaff, the Venerable Peggy Jackson.
Refreshments were served after both services and friends of and visitors to the church were given an opportunity to appreciate the changes that have come about within All Saints Church.
