Churches

St David
Located right by the harbour St David's has served generations of Barmouth residents.
St John the Evangelist
St.John's is difficult to miss, perched halfway up the hill behind the houses and shops of Barmouth, it is of almost cathedral-like size and proportions. The church was built in the 1890s to accommodate the growing number of visitors and residents in Barmouth.
St Mary and St Bodfan
This Grade 1 listed building exhibits some of the finest Early English architecture. Despite substantial restoration work in 1860, it is an almost perfectly preserved 13th century building with lancet windows and arch-braced collar beams (16th century) to the chancel roof.
St Philip
The church, built in the style of Basque churches, was originally built as a private chapel and now serves the scattered houses in the area.
