CROESO / WELCOME to THE MENNONITE CHURCH from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania - June 26
It was a joy and a privilege to welcome Pastor John Leaman and his group of 90 fellow Christians ( mostly Mennonite) from the Amish Country in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania,when they visited St Mary's on June 26th as part of their tour of the British Isles.
A service of prayers, meditation and acapella hymn singing was jointly led by Pastor John Leaman and Canon Philip Hughes (Rector of the Parish) who. it was discovered. were both celebrating the 30th anniversary of their ordination.
The group presented the Church with a beautifully quilted wallhanging. St Mary's presented each visitor with a prayer card depicting the Church and including an Englyn written by one of the church members.
Pastor John Leaman is Associate Pastor of Stumptown Mennonite Church, Bird-in-Hand, Pennsylvania.
