Carol Service comes in from the cold

The carol service at Rhosesmor on the 13th December was moved at short notice from the church to the village hall following a failure of the church heating system.

Worshippers enjoy a post-service sherry and mince-pie

Despite the move to the village hall, the large congregation enjoyed a traditional service of lessons and carols.

The newly formed choir also performed their first public piece with verses from Silent Night in German, Welsh and English, accompanied by Huw Davies on piano.

Following the service the assembled company enjoyed a glass of sherry and a mince pie (or two!)

Thanks to wardens Arthur Kemp and Lynn Fearnhead for arranging the move to the Village Hall at such short notice.

We hope to have the heating back in time for Christmas Services, if not before.
