Event - St Cynbryd Community Gardens

Event to celebrate end of phase 1

A lovely morning was held in the grounds and Church of St Cynbryd, to celebrate the end of phase 1 of the development project.

It was an opportunity to thank all the individuals and organisations who have helped us, and a cheque was presented to the project on behalf of Keep Wales Tidy.

Uplifting speeches were made by Dr Huw Lloyd, David Jones MP and Archdeacon Bernard Thomas.  They all referred to the inspiring community spirit in Llanddulas, and the dedication of so many people who have transformed an overgrown eyesore into beautiful gardens at the centre of the village.Archdeacon Bernard reminded us of the hope of Easter - the promise of life for ever with God.  The tranformation of the graveyard into a garden full of flowers and healing herbs is certainly a sign of hope and joy at the heart of our community life.

Many thanks to all who have worked so hard, and to all those who have given us funding.
