History

St Chad's, Hanmer, is a 12th Century Church, rebuilt substantially through the centuries. A churchyard cross survives from early times. There are Kempe windows and superb wood carvings. It has links with priests, soldiers, poets, kings and princes - none greater than Owain Glyndwr.
