Extra Services 2011 Remembrance and 2012
These are extra to the normal 11am Sunday Service in Hanmer Church.
Poppy
Remembrance Sunday 11th November 2012
The Remembrance starts at 10:30am by the War memorial. There is a laying of poppy wreaths and crosses. Words and prayers are led by the Vicar. Hymns are sung. The assembled then go up to the church for presentation of standards, reading of the names of the fallen and the silence at 11am.
Summer Evensongs 2012
These were much appreciated in 2010 and 2011. They are planned again for 2012. Our Summer Evensongs are at 6pm on the Fourth Sunday of each month of summer. All are welcome.
Harvest Festival 2012 7pm Friday 12th October with guest preacher.
11am Sunday 14th October (with School)
6:30pm Monday 15th October. Harvest Supper and Sale of Gifts in Church School.
Pet Service 2012
This has been much appreciated in the past few years at Hanmer for churches of the group. The service is held in and beside the church marquee on the grass flat by the church and mere. Horses, lambs and dogs are welcomed. Those without pets are invited to bring a cuddly toy animal. It will be held next at 11am on Whit Sunday 27th May 2012.
