Celebrating Support
A Hanmer group course developed from diocesan 'Investing in Mission'.
In 2009 our services and newsletters, through a sequence of ten Sundays, were aimed at consolidating the love of God at the centre of our church life. We looked closely at the Bible basis of our support for our Church. We celebrated Sunday by Sunday the generosity and hard work of so many in supporting our Church. We celebrated the activities which place our church at the centre of life in this community. We reviewed how we provide such support and any possible ways in which it could be made more effective.
On Support Sunday 16th August 2009 members of each of the churches in our group gave thanks to God and renewed commitment to support.
