Family Service
Held on the 3rd Sunday of the month, organised and led by the parents, in conjunction with the Rector.
All Saints, Sinan is a very child friendly Church and this is particularly evident on the third Sunday of the month when the Family Service takes place. The service is arranged and led by a number of the parents, with the advice and assistance of the Rector, and takes the readings for the Sunday and presents the message in the form of readings, prayers, demonstrations, play acting , quizzes, etc. The children are actively involved in all aspects of the service, reading the bible, saying the prayers, accompanying the hymns with instruments. The service is a very happy event and anyone interested in attending and sharing the experience would be most welcome, whatever their age (1 to 100).
Special services during the year:
Group Parish Family Service - held in May, in the Church Marquee, followed by a "Bring and Share" lunch in the Church and grounds.
Harvest Family Service - held at the end of September, when the children bring their Charity Collection boxes (see Mission section), as well as their Harvest produce to the service. A sit down Harvest Lunch follows the service in a hastily re-arranged Church (see Church Life section).
One of the highlights of the year for many of the parishioners and visitors is the Annual Crib Service, held on Christmas Eve afternoon, when the children and their parents present a musical versioin of the Christmas story. The Church is always full to see this annual performance, which involves many hours of rehearsal, but it is evident from the faces of the children how much they enjoy the service.
