Details of Improvement projects carried out to the internal furnishings of Sinan in 2010/2011

New Oak DoorIn2010 the PCC approved several submitted improvement projects to the internal fitments in the church.

Internal Door - a new Oak Door was ordered from Mr. John Lee (the Craftsman who manufactured all the church internal furniture in 1992. The door is shown in position in the photograph.

"Green Improvement" - Loft insulation has been fitted in the Church and Vestry. Lamps in the church have been fitted with low-energy lamps, this has reduced the total lamp wattage from 1400 Watts to less than 200.

Vestry - a new unit providing additional storage capacity for crockery and the Altar Frontals was manufactured and installed. Additional lighting was fitted and a Fridge acquired.

The Church is not on the Water main and the cost would be prohibative to achieve this facility, so the supply of water has previously  involved carrying it to church in 5 litre containers. To comply with Food Hygiene regulations it was necessary to install a Water Heater for hand washing and therefore a means of providing "running water" had to be devised. After much deliberation it was decided to utilise Caravan technology and the end result is a plumbed system with water piped to an Urn, for heating drinking water and to a Water Heater for hand washing and washing up. The water is transported to church using an Aquaroll which contains 30litres, with a pump piped into the  supply system.
