Licensed Evangelists
Evangelists are those specially gifted by God to help other people to find a living faith in Jesus Christ.
Contrary to popular belief, they are not all like Billy Graham: whilst some may indeed be gifted preachers, others will lead people to Jesus through friendship, through discussion and talking through difficult questions (‘apologetics’) or by simple one-to-one pastoral care.
They may be skilled in leading or organising process evangelism courses like Alpha or Emmaus, or they may function more at work or in their neighbourhood than through official ‘church’ structures. Some may be particularly gifted in Church-planting or the creation of Fresh Expressions of Church.
