Diocesan Committees

Churches and Pastoral Committee:
responsible for keeping under review the pastoral need for church buildings and for awarding grants for the repair of churches and boundary walls.

Council for Education:
works to promote within the Diocese the policy of the Church in Wales in regard to all aspects of education, both voluntary and statutory.

Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC)
set up by the Constitution of the Church in Wales as an advisory body on matters affecting the fabric and fittings of places of worship in the diocese, particularly relating to the grant of faculty by the Chancellor. Its members have a wide range of expertise which is freely available to parishes.

Diocesan Board of Finance
responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient revenue to maintain the level of stipendiary ministry for the diocese and for administering the finances of the diocese.

Diocesan Trust
responsible for the financial administration of all church schools within th ediocese and for their funding.

Standing Committe of the Diocesan Conference
advises the Diocesan COnference on matters of policy and the best use of resources.

Parsonage Board
responsible for the repair and upkeep of all parsonages and for buying and selling houses as appropriate.
