SCRIPTURE FOR march
The Deanery Intercessory Prayer Group meets fortnightly to pray specifically for our deanery. During this time we focus on a piece of scripture to help us contemplate what God might be saying to us, and to guide our prayers.
With this in mind, we thought it would be useful to share a piece of scripture with a wider audience each month, so that you too could use it to focus your prayers - you may have already been led to this scripture by God?
We would love you to inform the group of anything God reveals to you with regards to this deanery, as that may very well influence the way we move forward as His Church. And if you have any deanery issues you would like us to include in our prayer time, please let us know.
Theme for March: “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.” (Romans 12:1, NIV)
Praise: For the success of the deanery Refreshment Away Weekend.
Prayer: That we are quick to listen, slow to speak, and that we accept the word planted in us. |

Monmouth Diocesan Prayer
Lord God, renew your Church and begin with me.
Heal our wounds, give us joy in our faith, draw many to share your life, and use us all in your service.
For Jesus Christ’s sake, Lord of the Church, make us the Church of the Lord.
Amen. |
