The South East Wales Deaf Church Association, a registered charity, is looking for
a new honorary treasurer.
The present treasurer is finishing at the end of the financial year in April 2009 and we hope that the new one will be able to work alongside him from January 2009. The finances of the Association are healthy and well-managed. The geographical area covered by the association is the Archdeaconry of Llandaff and the Diocese of Monmouth. St Mary’s Church, Llanvair Discoed have a spare green altar frontal size approx 82” x 35” (205 x 88 cm) which has been held in the church for several years. It is in good condition and it seems a shame to let it decay if it can be of use to some-one.

ORGANIST TRAINING SCHEME

The Diocese offers an Organist Training Scheme designed to offer help and encouragement to those who play in churches in the region, irrespective of their current level of expertise. Tuition normally occurs on the organist's 'home' instrument and the scheme is administered by the new Assistant Organist at the Cathedral, Chris Denton.
