A residence is available for a lady of limited means of 55 years of age or over at Trinity Square, Baker Street, Abergavenny.
Applicants should be members of the Church of England or Church in Wales. Although preference will be given to those born in one of the communities of Abergavenny, Llanvihangel Crucorney, Llantilio Pertholey or the Coldbrook Ward of Llanover Community or widows of persons so born, or those who have been resident in one of these communities for at least 2 years, consideration will also be given to Applicants living in Monmouthshire but outside these areas.

The Quiet Garden Movement
Quiet Gardens offer a variety of local venues where there is an opportunity to set aside time to rest and to pray.

St Mary’s Church, Llanvair Discoed have a spare green altar frontal size approx 82” x 35” (205 x 88 cm) which has been held in the church for several years. It is in good condition and it seems a shame to let it decay if it can be of use to some-one.

The Diocese offers an Organist Training Scheme designed to offer help and encouragement to those who play in churches in the region, irrespective of their current level of expertise. Tuition normally occurs on the organist's 'home' instrument and the scheme is administered by the new Assistant Organist at the Cathedral, Chris Denton.
