Sweet Success of JAM at St Mark’s, Llanhilleth

group photo

For the past six months we have held a monthly Jesus And Me Sunday School at St Mark’s, Llanhilleth. For our Harvest Thanksgiving service, the children were asked not to bring fruit or vegetables but to give money to buy items for children who have suffered conflict and adversity. We raised £80 and it was unanimously decided by the children to buy ‘chickens’. But their overwhelming generosity resulted in the purchase of:
60 Chickens,
10 fruit trees
mosquito nets
and a world globe.
The globe was purchased to enable children to know where Llanhilleth is and where the children who sent these gifts actually lived in the world.

The church congregation was also very generous and with their money we purchased:
2 pairs of goats,
sack of food,
10 fruit trees,
45 chickens,
1 beehive complete with bees.
